At some time or another, we could all use a little help. You can’t expect yourself to know everything. And you know that you don’t know what you don’t know! It’s difficult to step outside of your situation to get a different point of view. Sometimes you need a new perspective to determine the steps you need to take to get to where you want to go. You might need to learn new skills. You might feel anxious or afraid. It’s okay to ask for help.

Life happens. And circumstances can create upheaval and change in your life situation. Sometimes it’s unwanted change. We’ve all experienced some of that unwanted change recently. We are faced with a global pandemic, economic uncertainty and social unrest. Unfortunately, a great many of us may also have experienced illness or the loss of the life of a loved one. Our society is in crisis. Maybe you are suffering, and you want the suffering to stop. It’s okay to seek counsel.

Sometimes, we want things to be different and we actively desire change. You may want to pursue a healthy lifestyle to lose weight or get more fit. You may want to explore a new career or experience a new relationship. You may not know what to do to make that happen. It’s okay to ask for guidance.

You can learn to let go of limitations and fears. You can conquer self-sabotage and release what is no longer serving you. You can eliminate negative self-talk and bad habits. It’s okay to focus on yourself; to consider what you need and what you want.

Whatever kind of change is happening, whether by choice or not, consider that it is not happening to you…it is happening for you. Remember, all of life is change.
