We are all in a state of Becoming. What we are becoming and how we are becoming are the result of the choices we make. Life is happening moment by moment. We are all becoming older, and hopefully, we are also all becoming wiser. Some of us are blessed with old age, but not all of us enjoy the adventure of becoming old. We could become fatter, sicker or depressed, as we feed our emotions and disregard our natural state of well-being. Or based on our choices, intentions and actions, we could become slimmer, healthier and happier. We could become wealthier, more creative and more prosperous. Or we could choose to spend money we don’t have to make ourselves feel better, only to realize that we feel worse and have become more in debt. We can become angry, frustrated and disappointed with our relationships. Or we can become more loving, accepting and appreciative of others.
Life is all about Becoming. In order to become somebody, the first thing you have to do is become yourself. There is no one else who can do that. You have all the skills, talents and gifts to become the very best you. Are you making the choices that reflect that? Are you resisting your own good in a life of quiet desperation? Or could you be a better you? Could you be happier and more successful? Of course you can! Joseph Campbell tells us, “If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of a track that has been there the whole while, waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living.”
You have a choice to make. And the time to do it is right now! Will your life be better in 2014? Or will it be worse? You know it won’t stay the same!!!
Practice three things that will help you to make the choices that will serve you best.
- Focus on your dreams and desires. Consider, “What if…” As you imagine with your mind, you will feel with your heart. As you become aligned with your self, you will know with your soul. Believe in your life’s mission and know that your dreams and desires matter… to all of us.
- There are no limitations. There is only limited thinking. Get out of your own way! Accept your magnificence. Claim your unique perspective. You know things no one else does!
- Trust yourself. You really do know what is best for you. It feels good. It feels right. Neville says, “A change of feeling is a change of destiny.”
If you have lost sight of who you are because of who you have become, you can make the choice to change that. Sometimes we need a guide when we’ve lost our way. I can help you to map out the best path for your future. If you want to change some outside circumstance in your life, you need to own it and make the transformation from within. Accessing the power of your subconscious mind, your goal-achieving machine, you can follow your bliss. Become your very best self!
